Crisis Assessment
Crisis Services professionals provide face-to-face assessments on a 24-hour basis when more immediate Behavioral Health services are needed. Face-to-face assessments are performed in hospital emergency departments.
The primary goal of a face-to-face crisis assessment is to provide therapeutic support to individuals and/or families in crisis, to help diffuse the crisis, and to assess an individual’s current level of risk of harm toward self or others. The crisis associate will then help the individual and/or family to connect to the most appropriate level of care.

- Collaboration with current providers
- Referrals to outpatient services
- Referral to an intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization program
- Inpatient hospitalization
